La politesse, l'honneur et le soin manifestés envers quelqu'un ou quelque chose qui est considéré comme important.
Le respect est associé à une expérience optimale pour le patient, à une bonne communication et au moral[1][2]]. Les étudiants/apprenants en médecine doivent être traités « avec respect car cela illustre ce que l'on attend d'eux en tant que médecins dans leurs interactions avec des personnes vulnérables »[3]
